ABOUT

The LDN Showband is our unstoppable flagship 5-16 piece band, who across 300 events in the last 3 years have brought a new standard to premium entertainment, moving the goalposts for where the sound of a luxury band can be!

Founded in 2017, the LDN Showband has gone from strength to strength in recent years. The band started out with a residency at Quaglinos, Mayfair, and has since become one of the top choices on the international events circuit. Whether they are performing for celebrity clientele in the Maldives, or performing for wonderful wedding couples in the beautiful hotels of London, they love nothing more than entertaining their guests, whoever they are.

The LDN Showband's highly interactive and engaging performance style can be set apart from its competition because it is coupled with an unparalleled musical excellence and attention to detail in our arrangements that we genuinely don't think has been replicated anywhere else in the events industry,

As LDN Entertainment’s most in demand band, you really do have to get your skates on and make an enquiry to avoid disappointment.

I just wanted to say thank you again for everything you guys did. It was literally mind blowing. I've never seen anything like it. Every single one of your team were phenomenal and literally made our wedding!!! We will post as many reviews as you like, and, if you ever have any clients who want to speak to a former client we'd be happy to help! You guys all deserve every success in the future. <3

Sometimes we get a brief, and it's so irresistible that we can't imagine NOT doing the event. This was just one of those - when Darren and Tom reached out the vision was so clear and so excited, we got planning right away. Taking place shortly after covid, the guest count was relatively low - to put it into perspective; their were approximately 50 guests at the wedding, and similarly approximately 50 performers, including 30 with LDN. Darren and Tom wanted a flowing program of entertainment that stayed interesting and was never just run of the mill. The other thing that was extremely important to them was that the live music would continue throughout the day.

Once we had touched down in Glasgow, we made our way by coach to Gleneagles as a fully assembled team for sound checks. As we simultaneously prepared in the venue for our performances, it was Fortissimi who kicked us off, with the seating of the guests and a gorgeous processional in the ceremony to 'Canon in D'. Once the couple had made their exit to 'Marry You' by Bruno Mars, the wedding party made their way across to a saloon bar style space where they were greeted by Sarah and Skyline Jazz who entertained the guests through their drinks reception with some Postmodern Jukebox themed music. It was only 2:30pm at this point but the guests were already absolutely dancing - proving it's not just about the quantity of guests but the quality too!

The dinner was time to welcome back Fortissimi Strings who were now joined by Midé, the beatboxer, and again proving them again to be not just any boring string quartet, as they had the guests out of their seats dancing when they were meant to be enjoying their steaks! After dinner the guests went outside to be entertained even more by some fireworks and a line of 15 bagpipers playing on the roof of Gleneagles - lit up in silhouette, this was a truly stunning moment that we'd not seen done before...

Then - carnival time!! Our singers, horns, and percussionists interrupted the cocktail reception with a flashmob style rendition of 'Conga' by Gloria Estefan, where we led the guests through, pied piper style into the ballroom which had been transformed to welcome the 15 piece band, who locked in with the carnival procession as the doors opened to continue the performance of Conga with full bodied magnitude! The party continued with the mega band including their first dance of 'Crazy in Love' which was choreographed by our company director's wife, Katie!

During the band's break, Wide Awake 7 piece took over for an hour's set in which they performed some more contemporary tunes supported by an array of gogo dancers - some with lampshades on their heads.

This was truly a night to remember and one that we all felt like we needed after a painful 2 years of lockdown!

Hi Joe, thank you so so much for the most amazing party. We had such a good time and it’s all thanks to you and your team. People are still calling me to compliment the band. You made the night even more special for us and we could not thank you enough. Keir had the most amazing time. I know we will be seeing each other again soon. ☺️

Send our thanks to your team as well. 🤗🙏🏾

After trying to book a wedding with us in 2019 the ended up being heavily postponed by covid, Keir and Assanati had to wait until 2021 to celebrate their wedding with us. But they couldn't get enough, so when it came round to Keir's 50th birthday, Assanati wanted to spoil him and bring back their wedding band to celebrate with them!

We brought the guests in with some classy tunes, supported by our amazing production partner GE, who built our stage and lighting rig. It wasn't long before we had the guests up in their places for a few sing-a-long sets during dinner.

We then closed out the night with our trademark party sets as they relived their favourite medleys reminiscent of their wedding day.

PRODUCTION PACKAGES

In order to simplify your decision making process, we offer two straightforward packages to support the showband; STANDARD and PREMIUM. Unless you are tied in to providing sound production yourself, all our clients will require sound production and a sound engineer, therefore this is included in both packages. The standard package includes some lighting and is connected together in such a way that it runs automatically. Our premium package, however, includes a lighting engineer who can design the lighting to beautifully complement the event and also react in real time to the movement of the music. The premium lighting package involves much more comprehensive lighting and also includes our sleek staging.

OUR PREMIUM PACKAGE (STAGE ALSO AVAILABLE IN WHITE)

Whilst we offer the 2 straightforward package options for tech we also are delighted to offer fully bespoke design to compliment our music. It may be that your overall event design requires us to slot in with a specific look, or you just want to go huge with the vision and take a version of our premium package and upgrade it to really go BIG! Be it mirrored staging, lighting rigs in the ceiling, an all white aesthetic, or lights on podiums around the room, there is usually an answer to most requests and using our extensive expertise in the industry we can help you make your vision a beautiful reality. If you want to go bespoke, simply request a call with our AV team to start to put these ideas in motion. We can give you an advanced quote and also look into any restrictions that may need to be overcome in order to make it happen. When we're putting together unique designs we do need time on the day or before the day to execute them to the highest standard, so it's worth bearing in mind not all bespoke designs can be achieved in a short room turnaround!

DINNER SETS

Our high-energy dinner sets are about as lively as they come! Whilst they may not be for everyone, if your guests are the type to love a sing-a-long, then it's most definitely an opportunity not to miss!

We usually begin with a 10 minute set to bring guests to their seats - if it's a wedding, we'll then bring the couple in with a big tune, then follow that with a couple more.

We then allow service/speeches to happen as is traditional and come back after mains once hot food is complete; to the delight of most caterers! The 2nd dinner roaming set is usually about 15 minutes of songs and MUST be all big tunes. We want to wrap up the meal in style, and we like to mix up a range of songs that are tried and tested in this environment (i.e. Gimme Gimme Gimme/Freed From Desire/Angels) with songs that are perhaps more unconventional and will take your guests by surprise in delightful fashion. After all, we don't want to just give people a re-run of every other wedding they've been to, but instead give them something that feels truly unique. For this reason, we'll spend a good while with you chatting through the best options for these sets, to try and uncover songs that might particularly connect with you and your guests and not just the average punter.

Gimme Gimme Gimme - ABBA
